Below you can find the projects that I'm currently aiming to complete. They tend to be more bite-sized: able to be completed in 2 months or less.
Firefighting for Service?
Look into the requirements for training and volunteer time of being a firefighter.
Problem.
I want to give back to my community in a way that is in line with my interests, abilities, and family responsibilities. Firefighting is one such possible domain.
Time Frame.

Solution.
Call the local fire stations to see what the training is like, the minimum time commitments, and what the lifestyle expectations are.
Rabbit Holes.
Since I'm considering moving, will also have to do this for North Carolina in the greater Raleigh area.
No-Gos.
I don't have to start training to consider this project complete. I just have to get a sense of what the commitments are.
